KC "Doc" Fockler
A surfer for over 48 years and an avid outdoor enthusiast, KC wants to make sure the world’s next generation has an opportunity to enjoy a clean, plastic-free ocean. He loves to call the ocean home (55 years living at the beach) and calls the area between the Santa Ana River Jetty and Magnolia Street in HB his home surf break.
As a retired business executive and teacher, Varsity Coach, ASB Director, and 16 year Surf Team Coach, KC wants to bring his passion for sustained learning and ‘Ohana’ to the Education Committee and community at large. He envisions a core of Surfrider Clubs at Middle Schools, High Schools and Colleges that focus on Beach Cleanups, Ocean Sustainability, being an ocean steward, and creating Green Campuses in order to improve the environment for today’s generation and for the next generation.
