Water Testing, Water Sheds, Know Your H20
Pamela received her B.A. in Environmental Anthropology and Global Sustainability from the University of California, Irvine. She is the Director of Environmental Sustainability at The Pegasus School in Huntington Beach, California where she teaches students in Pre-K through 8th grade.
She works closely with scientists from Algalita Marine Research and Education, as well as Red Sustainable Travel conducting sea turtle research in Baja, Mexico. Pamela inspires students through hands-on, place-based learning, and scientific inquiry; encouraging them to first connect with nature, and then help to protect it. As an avid surfer, water quality is of utmost importance to her, and the Blue Water Task Force program she offers her students is a great way to help them learn science and advocate for cleaner oceans, waves, and beaches.
