History of Coral Reef Wetsuits

Coral Reef opened in 1980 in Westminster in the same location as it is today. The three Jones sons, Chad, Rob and Shane, grew up working with father Tony and still are today. Early on called Coral Reef Dive & Surf, they made: Wetsuits, rack and custom; Surf and Dive; and their own brand of Surfboards called Coral Reef Smith & Jones models.

Denny Smith of Maui Surfboards and Tony Jones,  put a slogan on the bottom of their branded surfboards  “THE GUNS THAT WON THE WEST “ They also had a Scuba diving school and taught open water to instructor classes, it was a full-service dive shop with air fills and repairs as well. Later the dive operations discontinued and morphed into just Coral Reef Wetsuits and Apparel.

Coral Reef has it all! Over the years from diving and surfing around the world Tony added Hawaiian Furniture, and brought in containers from far off lands cutting out the middle men, to offer his customers wholesale prices on bamboo beds, tiki bars, vintage retro 50’s style rattan sofas with tropical fabrics, furniture, wetsuits, bamboo picture frames, and tiki’s.
